Jennifer Hyman is the Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Rent the Runway, the company that created a new category in the fashion industry and forever changed the way women get dressed. Since its inception in 2009, Jennifer has led the company through all stages of growth as they grew from a scrappy startup to a company serving millions of lifetime customers. Today, women can use Rent the Runway to subscribe, rent items a-la-carte and shop resale from hundreds of designer partners on, all for a fraction of the retail cost.


Jennifer took Rent the Runway public in 2021, making her the first woman ever to IPO a company with an all-female executive suite and the 30th female founder ever to IPO her own company. She has been honored on the TIME Top 100 Most Influential People List, People magazine’s “Women Changing the World,” Forbes’ “12 Most Disruptive Names in Business” and the CNBC Disruptor List. She also serves on the Board of Directors of The Estée Lauder Companies. Jennifer received her BA from Harvard University cum laude and MBA from Harvard Business School. She lives in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and three children.
